Riza, do you ever feel like bucket lists put you under a lot of pressure and make you feel bad when you can't accomplish everything? I am recovering list addict - I used to put everything on lists even when it was already done so that I could cross it off. These days, lists give me anxiety instead of providing me with joy. I am also curious to hear someone else's perspective on this!

Hi Katharina, thanks for commenting! I also got into a place where keeping lists, in my case a planner, became too much. And I've tried my best to try to balance it out through the years. I suppose in my perspective, I write down things (and list them) so that I don't clog my brain too much. Otherwise, I will be thinking about them a lot. Putting them on a list gives me a physical map so I can go through them easier. I've read this book (Make Time) before and there is a concept there of having a priority item ("Highlight") for each day, which serves as a non-negotiable. For the rest of the items in my list, I rank them by urgency. But other than the highlight, all of the items I listed down only serve as a guideline so I don't guilt trip myself too much. This is just one technique I've learned to help me manage this. Also, to try and be gentle with yourself always in case you end up not making it through your list. Hope this helps!

That's a really good tip, thank you. I will try that. And I am with you - the whole reason why I became so addicted to lists is that the things I had to do were clogging up my brain and I would find myself thinking about them over and over again. Writing them down freed up that mental load for sure.
